Emory Peebles McGinness and Craig James Keenan were united in marriage Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Chateau Morrisette, Meadows of Dan, Va. The Reverend Russell Gregory officiated. Following the ceremony, the reception was hosted by Marie and Ed Sartin and Katherine and George McGinness on the lawn at Chateau Morrisette. The rehearsal dinner was a BBQ at Laurel Point and was hosted by Graham and Carol Keenan, a beer and bluegrass party followed and was hosted by the McGinness Family.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Marie Morrisette Sartin of Greensboro and Mr. George Thomas McGinness of Hickory. She is the granddaughter of William Morrisette and the late Nancy Morrisette and the late Joseph and Billie McGinness. She is a graduate of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism. She is an Executive Assistant to Ed Sartin at Sartin Services.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Graham John Keenan, Sr. of Bronxville, N.Y. He is the grandson of the late Albert James and Florence Keenan and the late James and Lorraine Schaefer. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Wake Forest University with an MBA. He is CFO of Von Drehle Corporation.

The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Martha Mier McGinness of Telluride, Colo., as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Taylor Stockdale of New York, N.Y., cousin of the bride, Mrs. Jill Emig of Charlotte, Miss Lesley Campbell of White Plains, N.Y., Miss Leslie Stoll of Hickory, Miss Katherine Jeffords of Hickory, Mrs. Laurie Rhoney of Hickory, Miss Rachael Goodwin of Boone, Miss Mary Catherine Moss of Denver, Colo. and Ms. Monica Dagenhardt of Hickory.

The groom chose his brother, Mr. Graham Keenan, Jr. of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., as best man. Groomsmen were the sons of the groom, Davis Keenan, Matthew Keenan and Jake Keenan, all of Hickory, Dr. John Anthony of Montgomery, Ala., Mr. Jeff Bartlam of Reston, Va., Mr. Key Compton of Spartanburg, S.C. and Mr. Earl Chatto of Hickory.

Following a wedding trip to Ireland, the couple will reside in Hickory.
