Chance of snow overnight

A light snowfall is possible in the Triad beginning early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Raleigh.

The chance of snow is between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday. Any snowfall would be less than an hour, according to the weather service.

No accumulation is expected, though a light dusting could occur on grassy and elevated surfaces.

Abnormally cold temperatures will return on Friday. The high temperature in Greensboro is expected to be 40 degrees. With steady winds gusts, the wind chill will be in the upper 20s to mid 30s. The low temperature Friday night is 20 degrees.
