LEXINGTON — A portion of City Lake Road east of town will be closed until 5 p.m. today because of broken utility poles.

The closed section of road is between J.D. Essick Road and City Lake Park. (Map here.)

The N.C. Department of Transportation said motorists can take City Lake Road to Hill Everhart Road to Greensboro Street Extension.
