School board to consider new administrator
What: Guilford County Board of Education meeting
When: 6 p.m. Thursday
Where: Guilford County Schools Central Office, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro
On TV: Meetings are broadcast live on GCS Cable Channel 2, with replays aired the next day at 1 and 7 p.m. and the Saturday after the meeting at 1 p.m.
What's going on?
- Setting the traditional school calendar.
- A presentation on last year's performance evaluation scores.
- Amendments to the assignment and transfer policy for licensed employees.
- Approval of a new position and new hiring for the chief of staff. Superintendent Maurice "Mo" Green is proposing the creation of a chief administrative officer position to be filled by current Chief of Staff Eric Becoats. The board will consider hiring Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokeswoman Nora Carr as chief of staff.
